The Good Bad Mother (나쁜엄마) est une série télévisée de comédie dramatique coréenne réalisée par Shim Na-yeon, écrite par Bae Se-young et mettant en vedette Ra Mi-ran, Lee Do -hyun, Ahn Eun-jin et Yoo In-soo dans les rôles principaux. La série est sur le point de sortir sur JTBC et Netflix (dans certaines régions) et reprendra le créneau horaire de JTBC du mercredi au jeudi de 22h30 précédemment occupé par Interest of Love.
Mi-ran a été vu pour la dernière fois en 2022 Dr. Park’s Clinic en tant que Sa Mo-rim, Do-hyun était dans le hit de Netflix The Glory et en tant que Joo Yeo-jung et en 2021 Melancholia en tant que Baek Seung-yoo. Pendant ce temps, Eun-jin a été vu pour la dernière fois dans The One and Only en 2021 en tant que Pyo In-sook, et In-soo était Park Dang-gu dans le populaire Alchemy of Souls et Alchemy of Souls Saison 2 : Ombre et Lumière.

L’histoire de la tranche de vie est centrée sur Young-soon et son fils Kang-ho, qui ont eu une relation difficile en raison de l’éducation dure de Young-soon dans sa jeunesse. Désormais adulte, Kang-ho est un procureur au cœur froid qui choisit de garder ses distances avec sa mère et vit en ville. Cependant, lorsqu’une tragédie frappe, Kang-ho est contraint de rentrer chez lui au village, où il retrouve un nouveau souffle et reconstruit sa relation avec sa mère ainsi qu’avec son ami d’enfance Mi-joo.

Après l’accident potentiellement mortel de Kang-ho, Young-soon fait un vaillant effort pour aider au rétablissement de son fils. Elle décide de jouer à nouveau la mère maléfique afin d’aider son fils à se rétablir, à subvenir à ses besoins pendant qu’il est à l’hôpital, à le ramener à la maison et à le réhabiliter. Pendant ce temps, on en apprend un peu plus sur le responsable de l’accident de Kang-ho. La vie de Mi-joo bascule également.
