The Review Contains No Spoilers At All
Citadel Episode 1 Review
In Episode 1, we see Nadia and Mason on a mission. However, things don’t go as planned. They both lose their memories of being spies, as depicted in the trailer. The first episode focuses more on Mason Kane and his struggle with identity. We are also introduced to characters like Bernard Orlick, Dahlia Archer, Anders Silje and Davik Silje.
Without giving any spoilers, I would say that episode 1 packs in good action and mystery. The opening sequence ends with a blast, leaving the characters and us baffled about what just happened and what’s going to happen next.
Citadel Episode 2 Review
In Episode 2, the suspense grows, making the story a bit more gripping. The action sequences are choreographed much better in the second episode, especially in the last 15 minutes. The narrative is still going around about what we’ve majorly seen in the trailer.
The first two episodes focus more on introducing us to Nadia Sinh and Mason Kane and vaguely telling us what went wrong with them. We are also introduced to the bad guys who would go to any extent to erase the existence of Citadel.
Citadel Review (Episodes 1 and 2) Final Thoughts
We are only familiar with the vicious and bewildered spies who are trapped in a world full of intrigues, as I indicated before. The initial segment is the only significant difficulty or challenge thus far. But the second episode ends with a tremendous cliffhanger that will make you keen to know what’s going to happen next!
We have no idea about the malicious secrets of/against the spy organisation, why the bad guys are doing what they’re doing and what truth one of our protagonists has been hiding. There is more to be revealed, and hopefully the upcoming episode will provide a solution to one of the many questions.
Even though the first two episodes don’t add much to the plot, they are nevertheless captivating and enjoyable.
Episodes 1 and 2 will release on Prime Video on April 28.
